JKAY is a producer/ songwriter hailing from the South East of England;

he’s previously written and produced songs for multi-platinum artists over

the past few years but now has started releasing his own material to critical acclaim.

Recently signed to Black Butter Records – who’ve got a history of unearthing

pure UK talent in Jessie Ware, Rudimental and Jess Glynne –

JKAY is looking like another shrewd discovery.

Growing up on everything from 90’s R&B to classic British indie in the

early 00s shaped JKAY’s ear for “hits”, but it was his deeper love for more underground

sounds in UK House & Garage that’s influenced his own music: “Danger”

now marks JKAY’s debut offering, and it’s a bonafide banger that sees

UK Garage national treasure Shola Ama touch the mic for the first time since 2013.
